List Terms

Segmentation: Segmentation is creating target lists of prospects for marketing needs. For example, you can create lists for newsletters, drip programs, and so on.

Dynamic List: A dynamic list is rule-based. It automatically adds prospects when they match the criteria and removes them when they don’t.

Segmentation Rules: Use a segmentation rule to pull a one-time list of prospects based on specific criteria. Unlike an automation rule, a segmentation rule does not run continuously.

Email Test List: An internal test list to send email drafts to inboxes by pulling from your own prospect information.

Public List: Lists that are viewed on Email Preference Center for opt-ins and opt-outs.

CRM Visible List: Allow prospects to be assigned to this list from a CRM – ideal for Sales and Customer Success to add prospects to nurture campaigns.

Static List: Fixed list of prospects made through import, automation or completion actions.
